Understanding Resources in ARC Raiders
ARC Raiders features various categories of resources that drop from containers, ARC enemies, and environmental objects Topside. Understanding what you need and where to find it is key to efficient progression.
The Refiner
The Refiner is a Workshop station that lets you process raw materials into refined components. Many advanced crafting recipes require refined materials, so understanding this system is crucial for progression.
Efficient Farming Strategies
Route Planning
The most efficient Raiders plan their routes before heading Topside:
- Identify 3-4 high-density loot areas along a path to extraction
- Start far from extraction and work your way toward it
- Have a backup route in case your primary path is contested by other Raiders
Loot Priority
Not all loot is worth picking up. Use the Resource Rankings tool to understand the value of different items. Consider:
- Value per slot (high value, low weight items are gold)
- What you actually need for your loadouts
- Recycle value vs salvage value
Premium Tip: The Loot Guide
Premium users can use the Loot Guide feature which automatically prioritizes items based on your active loadouts. This takes the guesswork out of what to pick up during raids Topside.
Salvage vs Extract
Sometimes you'll find more loot than you can carry. Check the Resource Rankings to see if salvaging in the field gives comparable value to extracting and recycling back in Speranza. Items with high recycle bonuses should always be extracted if possible.
Stash Management
After successful farming runs, use the Stash Optimizer to see what you can craft and what materials to keep. Don't hoard everything - sell or recycle excess materials that exceed your loadout needs.
ARC Farming
Destroying ARC enemies drops valuable components. Different ARC types drop different materials:
- Smaller ARC units are easier to take down but drop fewer materials
- Larger ARC are dangerous but reward better loot
- Some ARC parts can even be thrown as makeshift grenades!
